dnata acquisition of majority stake in Imagine Cruising finalised

Dubai, UAE—dnata announced today it has received regulatory approval from the Competition Commission of South Africa of its purchase of a majority stake of Imagine Cruising.

Imagine Cruising is a leader in cruise and stay holiday distribution out of the UK. The company will become part of the dnata Travel family of businesses, which includes Stella Travel Services, Gold Medal Group, Travel Republic, and additional investments in Hogg Robinson Group, and Mindpearl Group.

Based in Swindon, UK, with offices also in Cape Town, South Africa, Imagine Cruising provides passengers with a range of cruise options around the world.

The acquisition is effective from 20th May 2015, with no interruption to the services offered by Imagine Cruising. The business will continue under the Imagine Cruising branding.
